White Texas Sheet Cake {Recipe}

I'm telling you, this recipe is from you know where....it is that good! And so easy to make and you usually always have the ingredients on hand. See I told you it's bad. :) My mom met an older lady in the hospital years ago that gave her this recipe. This is my favorite cake!

White Texas Sheet Cake
----------------------
1 c. butter (I use real salted butter)
1 c. water
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. sugar
2 eggs beaten
1/2 c. sour cream
1 tsp. almond extract
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Melt butter and water in a saucepan bringing to a boil. Mix together dry ingredients in a bowl and add butter/water mixture. Mix until smooth with an electric mixer. Add the sour cream and almond extract, then add the beaten eggs, stir til mixed. Pour into a greased jelly roll pan. Bake 21-24 minutes til lightly browned on top. After the cake is baked you will mix up the frosting and pour and spread over warm cake.

Frosting
--------
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. milk
3 c. powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1 c. chopped pecan's or walnuts

Bring butter and milk to a boil. Remove from heat and mix into the powdered sugar. Add almond extract and pecans. Mix until smooth. Spread over warm cake.

Now, don't eat it all at one time! ;)
